Veterinary Assistant
🦄 Join Our Team as a Veterinary Assistant! At Tsolum we believe in hiring unicorns – individuals who possess exceptional customer service skills, a genuine love for animals, and a willingness to go above and beyond. If you are an experienced veterinary assistant (or if you have relevant qualifications), with a stellar work ethic, we want to hear from you! Here at Tsolum we work as a team and everyone helps out wherever needed, so multi-tasking is imperative.
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians and RVT’s in examinations, treatments, and surgeries
- Prepare and maintain the exam rooms and surgical areas
- Handle and restrain animals during procedures
- Provide compassionate care and comfort to our animal patients
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Perform general administrative tasks and assist with clinic maintenance
Requirements:
- Positive, mature attitude. Willingness to contribute to team environment
- Veterinary assistant/care aide qualifications or relevant experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work hard and multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment and have fun doing it.
